Excellent for a visit and see the care these donkeys receive.

Visited here last week, the staff were all very friendly and full of knowledge! They knew all the donkeys names and their history which was interesting. We had a lovely coffee from the little tea room and a look around the small gift shop where you can also sponsor a donkey.

A great place to visit. A huge array of donkeys are at the sanctuary and can be seen close up for a scratch!

Wife has always wanted to own a donkey but we have never been in a position to do so. So the next best thing, visit a donkey sanctuary and Island Farm is our nearest so visit we did. Hundreds of donkeys to see and a charity shop to where you can donate items as well as a charity box where you can donate cash for the sanctuary. A very pleasant couple of hours spent.

Absolutely amazing place. Free admission. Open 364 days of the year. Loads of parking, also free. We were fortunate to arrive shortly before the male donkeys were walked out from their enclosure and out into an adjacent field. The female donkeys were already in their part of the field. They are the loveliest people, the donkeys, and so happy. They're clearly well looked after. Well fed. Some were rolling around on the grass. Quite a few walked across for a pat. It was nice to get up close to these wonderful animals. The donkey sanctuary is very pleasantly situated in the Oxfordshire countryside. We adopted a couple of donkeys, Lady and Brewster. They have a selection you can choose from on the wall directly across from the gift shop, and there's an accompanying short bio underneath. I befriended a great donkey while visiting them in the field, and although he wasn't on the official donkeys for adoption list, I got to adopt him as well. Tim (Shop Manager) kindly sent me a photo of him, which I've added here. His name is Paul. There's a gift shop with loads of great items and a place to get tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There's an outdoor seating area. The little tubs of ice cream are very tasty. We met some very nice people, from Hayling Island and Southampton, respectively, and we had a good old chat. They were very friendly. It's nice to meet fellow animal lovers. There are toilets, as well as a massive hall filled with bric-a-brac for sale. Loads of pictures, books, DVDs, and CDs. Really nice people work here, and they clearly enjoy it. It's one of the best places I've ever been to. I can't wait to return. Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary comes highly recommended.

Great place, people, and obviously Donkeys. There look really well looked after. Such an awesome place. Well worth a visit. All the facilities are good and clean.

Such a great place to unwindy and meet some new furry friends. 100s of donkeys and some goats too. They all look as they feel safe and comfortable there with plenty of green grass and even named satlls. Will be coming back to destress and support. Thank you!

Lit was very hot ,but nice to see donkeys

Loads of donkeys! Wonderful setting and you can see tge donkeys are living their best lives now they're here and well cared for. Very reasonably priced gift shop and adoption scheme which is also available on their website. Conveniently placed toilets, refreshments available and entrance is free. Yes free. If you love donkeys or just animals in general then why not treat yourself to a visit? Or better yet adopt a donkey!

Staff were lovely, loads of donkeys about and most of them very friendly. Not suitable for a toddler who doesn't like loud noises but we didn't realise this until he was there. Gift shop is very well priced, I didn't see anything over £15

We had a lovely afternoon here. There is a small gift shop and play area for children. There are also toilets. So many donkeys to see it was wonderful. You can see they’re really investing in the place with lots of new structures and stables being built. There also an information centre although was closed when we went. It’s free to go in and run by volunteers. I was really taken by some of the donkeys - I will have to go back to see them again soon.

A lovely, sweet, small, friendly place, which is also free entry. Quite quirky with a bric a brac barn, play park, and great little gift shop. Cafe was closed though. Probably only a few hours (not a whole day out), maybe not suitable for wheelchairs. Obviously a great charity helping donkeys. Would definitely go again.

Wow!! Amazing Donkey Sanctuary open 364 days a year and it's FREE to visit. I found this place quite by chance on Google when looking for places to visit with a café. Although the Café was not open on the Friday I went there were snacks for sale in the gift shop. The Donkeys were lovely to watch and some were quite friendly. (You can't feed them as they are on special diets) There is a children's play ground and a Bric a Brac sale room If your child has ever wanted a Pet but you don't have the time to look after one you can adopt a Donkey for £25 a year and visit it as often as you like. Would definitely recommend a visit.

This sanctuary provides a fascinating and moving experience. Donkeys of various ages graze contentedly within several enclosed pastures. Some being understandably cautious of visitors while a few will allow petting. Clearly inquisitive animals, they appear thoughtful and gentle. The centre benefits from a small gift shop and cafe and wonderful staff and volunteers who clearly love working there. The manager offered us a wealth of information and back stories to some of the donkeys. The tales were harrowing which makes the charity's objectives the more vital to animal welfare and exposing abuse. The only improvement might to include displays and back stories for some of the donkeys. Overall, very well worth a visit

Die Esel und Ställe sehen gut und sauber aus, man sieht das sich gut um die Tiere gekümmert wird. Manche von ihnen sind zutraulich und lassen sich Streicheln. Fahrt hin, habt einen schönen Tag und lasst etwas Geld da damit das Projekt lange weiter gehen kann;)

Took my mate n her 5yr old granddaughter here..wot a fantastic place..clean and well cared for animals..loved being able to pet the donkeys n goats that were eager to come to us..staff very friendly smiling and informative..thank you for making a 5yr olds day

All run by volunteers and the donkeys are so well looked after. Free to enter, however there should be a small charge even if that is just for adults. We were happy to give a reasonably large donation for the visit, but I suspect some won't want to. Will be back when next in the area.

Lovely place to see many Donkeys. There is a quaint little coffee shop as well as a well stocked shop. Entrance is free and is great for a day out. Be sure to drop a donation to support the Donkeys. They are also looking for volunteers, if you have spare time definitely think about giving a hand or two.

Really good donkey sanctuary. The sanctuary it's free, but you can give donation or adopt a donkey. Good place for walk, picnic. They're selling drinks there.
