October Round Up

Halloween Scarecrow and Donkey Trail

 

For the whole of the half-term week in October, we had a Halloween Scarecrow and Donkey Trail.  It was organised and run by one of our volunteers Trella, who did a sterling job.  The event was very well attended and we made much needed funds for the upkeep of the donkeys.

Friday is Dentist Day for the Donkeys. It looks like Zara is trying to jump the queue!

Companion Dog Show

Our recent Companion Dog Show at the Sanctuary was a great success with over 100 dogs taking part in both Pedigree and Novelty classes.  A big thank you goes out to Sue and Michael for organising the show.  We had many requests to host another show so we have arranged our next Companion Dog show for Sunday 4 February 2024.

Lottery

In September we launched our lottery page in an effort to raise more funds for the donkeys but also, hopefully, to give our supporters a chance to win something for themselves. We are delighted to announce therefore that we have already had a winner of £25 although they very generously sent it straight to Island Farm! You can buy a ticket for as little as £1 with the opportunity to win £25,000.
