June has been a busy month here at Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary. 4th June – Donkey and Dog Show This year, held in the glorious sunshine at Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary. A lovely day enjoyed by the many who attended. Congratulations to Elora Murray who not only won Junior Handler at the Dog Show but went on to win Supreme Champion with the beautiful Star. Star is owned by Julie Broadhurst who was busy taking part in the Donkey Show.

7th June – National Volunteers Week

Was National Volunteers Week so we want to say a massive thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who help to keep Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary running. It couldn’t be done without you. As well as those who work with the donkeys there are many others who help in the shop; sell goods at our table top sales and on other occasions; attend outside events; gardening; maintenance; the list is endless. 10th June – Stoke Rowe Steam Rally Charlie North at Stoke Rowe steam rally making friends of all ages. He and Monty were there for both days saying hello.

17th June – Wallingford Carnival Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary leading the procession at Wallingford’s carnival. The carnival queen this year is the dame from the local theatrical society’s panto!
